i tried to do something mind-boggling: i tried to imagine a higher level of consciousness. it's like an ant in a bowl trying to imagine what he looks like, from the viewpoint of a superior, all-seeing eye. except that, uh, the ant doesn't know that he's in a bowl, all he sees is what is around him. and all of a sudden i am saying, take things for more than face value.

no. i am not saying that. i am saying, imagine yourself caught on a spiderweb, completely oblivious to where you are, what is going on. imagine what you look like to the spider. i am saying, try to imagine being Dumb, for a moment. try to imagine what it must be like to be dim, to have your mind operate on a level less conscious, less lucid; and now think about yourself and everything that you know.
